Behind-the-Wheel Only
If your student has already completed a State of Ohio-approved teen online training program, here are the details for signing up:
1) Bring a copy of your state-issued temporary permit and a copy of the 24-hour online training certificate to the Site Coordinator, Mr. Egan, in room 123 to get a copy of the parent documents.
2) Complete the parent documents and return them to the Site Coordinator. Please be aware that the parent who completes the documents MUST be the same parent who completes all aspects of the driver's education course and assessment on the student's behalf and that all documentation matches.
3) Create an account on the payment portal and pay $300. While the portal will accept checks or credit cards, please know that credit cards are the preferred form of payment as there is less wait time to start the next step of the program.
4) Schedule and complete Behind-the-Wheel driving with a driving instructor. Please check with the Site Coordinator for availability, and keep in mind that this will require a total of 8 hours of instruction.
5) Receive the completion certificate, which is then taken to the BMV in order to take the final driving assessment.
If you have any additional program questions not answered here, please contact the Site Coordinator, Mr. Egan, or call the high school office at (740) 725-5800.
